Meryl S. Schmidt

Meryl S. (Rosenberg) Schmidt, 55, died November 17, 2011 in her Muhlenberg Township residence.

She was the wife of Mark Joseph Schmidt, whom she married March 11, 1993.

Born March 20, 1956 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Allen I. and Dr. Janet I. (Tannenbaum) Rosenberg.

Meryl was a 1973 graduate of Lower Merion High School and an honors graduate of Weidner University.

She was employed as a social worker and counselor with The Children's Home of Reading and County of Berks. She later was a rape counselor working privately.

Meryl was a musician, playing the guitar and singing.

She loved gardening.

Also surviving are two brothers, Mitchell L. Rosenberg of Brookline, MA and Ira S. Rosenberg of New York, NY.

In addition, there is a cousin, Mary, wife of Alan Frankel of Philadelphia.

A Memorial Service will be held today at 1 p.m. in Radnor Hotel, 591 E. Lancaster Avenue, St. David's, PA 19087.
