Melvin A. Knight, 52, Sinking Spring, died of natural causes Oct. 28 at 1:30 a.m. in ManorCare Health Services Inc., West Reading, where he had been a patient for two days.
His wife, Kathleen A. (Boyle) Knight, died Dec. 10, 2003.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Elmer B. and Mary (DeCors) Knight.
Knight had been employed for 15 years as a contractor by C.G. Waldman, last working in 1994.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Laureldale.
Knight is survived by a daughter, Pennie N. (Knight) Lively, Reading.
Other survivors include two sisters, Marjorie E. (Knight) Smith and Gwen A. (Knight) Kutzer, both of Sinking Spring; a stepsister, JoAnn (Dragan) Devlin, Birdsboro; a stepbrother, David Dragan, Bern Township; and a stepmother, Jennie M. Knight, Birdsboro.
There is also one granddaughter.
Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
