Melissa Lee Galanos

Melissa Lee (Brickey) Galanos, 37, died of natural causes July 12th in her laureldale residence.

She was the wife of Roger Alan Galanos.

Born in Casper, Wyoming, she was a daughter of David E. Brickey of Tilden Township and Terrie L. (Pietroforte) Schneider of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

She was a 1988 graduate of Putnam City North High School, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Melissa was a certified nurses assistant, certified medical assistant and an orthopedic technician, working the last six years at Commonwealth Orthopedic, wyomissing and Exeter, last working April 2005.

She is also survived by a daughter, Lauren Kristine Brickey, at home.

Other survivors include a brother, Michael D. Brickey of Tulsa, Oklahoma, a sister, Kristina (Brickey) Davis of Dallas, Texas and a step-sister, Rochelle L. (Balthaser) Carl of Hamburg.

Melissa is also survived by her paternal grandmother, Esther L. (March) Brickey of Tilden Township, her step-father, Joseph Schneider, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and her step-mother, Nancy A. (Yost) Brickey of Tilden Township.

Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Lauren K. Brickey Trust Fund, c/o Citizen's Bank, 4950 Kutztown Road, Temple, Pa 19560. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
