Max P. Bingaman, 92, passed away at Mifflin Center on Saturday, August 7, 2021.
He was the loving husband of Suzanne J. (Kane) Bingaman; they were married for 55 years.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his three children: Lynn M. (Donald) Charlton, Beth A .Bingaman and Chris J. Bingaman. Four grandchildren: Emma Charlton and Samuel Charlton; Ceejai Bingaman and Ember Bingaman and two bothers, Terry and James also survive him. He was predeceased by one brother, Jack.
Born in Selinsgrove, he was the son of the late Raymond and Harriet (Wilhour) Bingaman.
He graduated from Shillington High School in 1947.
Max proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the US Navy. He was an outdoorsman and loved to travel. Max was a strong, selfless, hardworking, and humorous man. He loved his family and was always proud of his children and grandchildren.
A visitation will be held on Monday, August 16, 2021, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading with a prayer service to begin at 11 a.m. Interment with military honors will follow at Gethsemane Mausoleum, 3139 Kutztown Road, Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Wounded Warrior Project (https://woundedwarriorproject.org/) or Animal Rescue League (https://www.berksarl.org).
