Maureen Clare Flannery of Wyomissing died peacefully at Tower Health Reading on March 22, 2023, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Born in Reading, PA on July 3, 1952, she was the daughter of the late Daniel J. and Clare P. (Donahue) Flannery.
Maureen is survived by three children: Sean Flannery (Guy Ryno), Reading; Jason Flannery (Jessica Dahlgren), Wyomissing; Angelica Flannery, West Reading. She is also survived by a grandson, Declan Flannery-Dillon; as well as a separated husband and life-long friend, Glenn B. Reber.
Maureen is also survived by three sisters and a brother-in-law: Mary Kathleen Flannery, SSJ, Chestnut Hill; Clare Flannery, Harrisburg; Theresa Flannery, West Lawn; Richard Gan, Harrisburg. She is also survived by several nieces, grand-nieces, and a grand-nephew. She is survived by her beloved dog, Buddy.
She was predeceased by her infant sister, Monica.
Maureen was a graduate of Holy Name High School and attended Kutztown University. Later, she obtained a computer science degree from Reading Area Community College. For years, she was a systems analyst for Berks County, PA.
Maureen's number one passion was being a mother and grandmother. She was the living embodiment of a mother's unconditional love. Her perpetual sense of wonder and adventure were inspiring. She never let age or sickness diminish her zest for life.
Maureen loved classic rock music and attended many concerts throughout her life. She was a huge fan of Phantom of the Opera and loved seeing it on Broadway. She loved going to the shore, traveling, attending professional basketball and football games, and walking her dogs. Mostly, she cherished her time with her family and close friends who will always carry her warmth in their hearts.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023, from 10 AM until 1 PM at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. In her honor, we are asking people to wear a purple item of clothing, if possible. Maureen's burial to be held privately.
