Maureen E. Bokansky

Maureen E. (Trybuski) Bokansky, 72, died March 12, 2016, in her Sinking Spring residence.

She was the wife of John T. Bokansky. They married on August 28, 1965.

Maureen was a valedictorian graduate of Donora High School and Robert Morris Business School.

She worked as an administrative assistant for Penn State University Park and most recently for Penn State Berks Campus, retiring in 2013.

Maureen was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Maureen was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave them was staying at home to raise them. She also enjoyed spending time in her garden.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two children: Bridget L. Bokansky, Orefield and Kip J. Bokansky, Bremerton, WA and one brother, John, widower of Florence Trybuski, Willard, OH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Alban's Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading and Thursday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church.
