Matthew J. Sands

Matthew J. Sands, 38, of Wyomissing, passed away, September 23, 2010 in Reading Hospital.

Born in West Reading, he was a son of William R. and Sheridan R. (Gillmor) Sands, with whom he resided.

He was a 1993 graduate of Wyomissing High School and Berks Vocational School in The Life Skills Program.

Matthew was employed by Threshold.

He was a member of Advent Lutheran Church., West Lawn.

Matthew participated in the bowling program for the Special Olympics.

He loved trips to Walt Disney World and the Country Bear Jamboree.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his brother, Bradley W., husband of Mariel Sands, Venice Beach, CA.

Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave., West Lawn, PA 19609. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. in the church.
