Matthew C. Mountain

Matthew C. Mountain, 47 died June 14, 2009 in his Reading residence.

Born in Fort Hood, TX on January 9, 1962 he is the son of Rosemary C. (Carlin) Mountain of Shillington and the late Thomas J. Mountain.

Matthew is a 1980 graduate of Holy Name High School. He also recieved his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from Kutztown University.

He was employed 15 years as a World Cultures teacher for the Governor Mifflin School District, last working in November of 2008. Matthew was an Captain in the United States Army, serving for five years.

He is also survived by his brother, Chris J. husband of Donna P. (Lesher) Mountain of Fleetwood, PA.

Other survivors include a niece Greta Mountain and a nephew Erich Mountain, both of Fleetwood.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday at 10am in St. John the Baptist de La Salle, 420 Holland St, Shillington, PA 19607. A visitation will be held from 9 am until time of service in the church. Burial services will be private in Fort Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.
