Matthew J. Dunkle

Matthew J. Dunkle, 48, died March 6, 2015, in his Cumru Twp. residence.

Born in Freeport, NY, he was the son of John J. and Margaret A. (Cain) Dunkle, with whom he resided.

Matthew was a graduate of Freeport High School. He was a member of Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church.

In addition to his parents he is survived four siblings: Clare, wife of Robert Moser of Wyomissing; Catherine, wife of James Scrimgeour of West Hartford, CT; Benjamin, husband of Jeanne of Amherst, NY; and Rev. Brian Dunkle, SJ, Notre Dame, IN. Fifteen nieces and nephews also survive him.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 740 Cherry St, West Reading. Friends may call Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery.
