Maryann Epting

MaryAnn Epting, 81 of Tilden Township died Monday, December 19, 2016 in Lehigh Valley Hospice, Allentown. She was the beloved wife of Chester W. Epting sharing sixty-four years of happiness. She was born in Tilden Township and was the daughter of the late Stanley and Elsie (Potteiger) Degler. MaryAnn was employed as a seamstress and quality control inspector for a variety of clothing manufacturers. She was a faithful member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg. MaryAnn enjoyed bowling and service to her church and community. She is survived by two sons; John Epting, Hamburg and Glenn Epting, Westerville, OH; and a daughter; Maureen A. Henne, Carlisle. MaryAnn was blessed with ten grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren. A daughter, Bonnie S. Bowers, predeceased her. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM from St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 99 Church Street, Hamburg, PA. A viewing will be held from 9:30 until time of service. Burial will be private.
