Mary Jane Wolfe

Mary Jane (Reifsnyder) Wolfe, 86, of the Highlands at Wyomissing and formerly of Laureldale, died June 1, 2007 at 10:45 am in the Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient since April 22nd.

She was the widow of Donald E. Wolfe, who died August 30, 1990.

Born June 29, 1920 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Roy and Mamie (Bailey) Reifsnyder.

She was a 1938 graduate of Ontelaunee High School, where she also played softball with the Diamond Lils.

Mary Jane was a former member of Moselem Springs Golf Club, where she won several golf championships.

She worked as a teller for a number of years with the former Berks County Trust Company, Reading and last worked as a secretary with the Beryllium Company, Muhlenberg Township.

Mary Jane is survived by a daughter, Pamela J. (Wolfe) wife of Ray A. Weaver, Sr., of Cumru Township.

Other survivors include three grandchildren, Ray A. Weaver, Jr., Seth E. Weaver and Rachel A. Klemmer.

She is also survived by four great grandchildren and a sister, Jean (Reifsnyder) wife of Franklin Rickenbach of Temple.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale, with the Rev. Brett J. Reider officiating. No public viewing. Burial will be in St. Luke's Union Cemetery, Perry Township.
