Mary P. Weiser

Mary P. Weiser, a former elementary teacher, died Aug. 7 at 6:15 a.m. in Berks Heim Annex, where she had resided since October 2001.

Weiser, 88, formerly of Ridge Avenue, Kenhorst, was predeceased by her husband, Hans Weiser, on June 16.

She was employed as an elementary teacher in Earlville from 1940 to 1950.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Irene (Bachman) Moyer.

Weiser and her husband were the owners-operators of the Weiser Cleaning Service, Reading, from 1968 to 1988.

She was a 1932 graduate of Reading High School and a 1936 graduate of Millersville State Teacher's College.

Surviving are a son, Charles H., Reading; two grandchildren, two stepgrandchildren, a great-grandson, a stepgreat-grandson and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren.

Services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
