Mary Jane Underkoffler

Mary Jane (Copestick) Underkoffler, 88, passed away August 14, 2011, in her Cumru Township residence surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Camden, New Jersey on August 5, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Margaret (Brennan) Copestick.

Mary Jane was the beloved wife of Victor Underkoffler for 67 years.

She graduated from Notre Dame Academy, Philadelphia, in 1942.

Mary Jane was a homemaker and a scout leader for many years. She also volunteered at Doylestown Hospital.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three daughters: Margaret Mayberry, Philadelphia, Kathleen Maier, Mt. Holly Springs and Joan, wife of Paul Tardie, Yucaipa, CA.

She is also survived by six grandchildren: Michael Young, Kristin, wife of Jeffrey Ludovico, Jeffrey, husband of Terri Kuklinski, Brian, husband of Carrie Kuklinski, Laura, wife of Glenn Thayne and Rick JR Mayberry; five step-grandchildren, Dan Tardie, Rene Tardie, Jason Tardie, Paul Harris Tardie and Jacqueline Tardie and eight great-grandchildren: Taylor Floyd, Mia Kuklinski, Kaelyn Kuklinski, Justin Ludovico, Joshua Ludovico, the twins, Aiden and Dylan Kuklinski and Kasen Tardie.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Benedict Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd., Mohnton, PA 19540. Burial will be in Robeson Cemetery. Mary Jane requested "no flowers". If you wish, contributions may be made in Mary Jane's memory to St. Benedict's Bell Tower Fund at the above address. Edward J.
