Mary Jean Steele

Mary Jean (Ordway) Steele, 91, passed away August 2, 2014 in ManorCare Sinking Spring.

Her husband, Kerwin Steele, died in 1993.

Born July 21, 1923 in Ticonderoga, NY, she was a daughter of the late Arthur James and Maude Lillian (Hughes) Ordway.

She was a teacher for over 20 years at Head Start, Niagra Falls, NY, retiring in 1981.

Mary is survived by her three children: Sharon Jean, wife of Joseph Owen Reimels, Mohnton; Peggy Ann, wife of Allan Sumerfield, Shillington; and Richard Scott, husband of Barbara Steele, Erie. Also surviving are her ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her brother, John Ordway, and a great-grandson, Joseph Christopher Lewis.
