Mary Agnes Scott, 79 of Wernersville, was called to our Lord on August 20, 2008. She was a resident of Phoebe Berks Health Center.

She was married to James Michael Scott, love of her life and best friend, on August 2, 1952.

Born July 10, 1929 in Dover, Delaware, she was a daughter of the late Vincent T., Sr. and Rose C. (Scanlon) McGoldrick.

Mary was the second in her class at Marywood Seminary in Scranton, PA.

She was employed as a key punch operator by the former Textile Chemical Company, now Brenntag Northeast, Reading for ten years before retiring in 1987.

Mary was a member of Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Muhlenberg Township.

She was very active with the Cleft Palate Parents Organization, Scranton, PA, of which her husband, James, was President.

Mary also enjoyed taking part in the "Holy Six" card club as well as attending activities of her grandchildren.

Mary and Jim have two sons, James M., husband of Karen M. (Hoover) Scott of Exeter Township and Jeffrey W., husband of Anne M. (Shronk) Scott of Austin, TX.

They also have two grandchildren, Lauren M. Scott of Philadelphia and Andrew J. Scott of Exeter Township.

Mary is also survived by a brother, James E., husband of Kay McGoldrick of Maryland and two nephews.

Mary was predeceased by a brother Vincent T. McGoldrick, Jr.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, 3121 Kutztown Road, Muhlenberg Township. A visitation will be held one hour before the mass in the church. Inurnment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
