Mary R. Schrader

Mary R. Schrader, 94, formerly of Kenhorst, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2023, in the care of Rittenhouse Village at Muhlenberg. She was the wife of the late Stanley J. Schrader, who passed away in 2006.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late George J. and Regina A. (Shire) Spuhler. Mary graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947. She served as a clerk and typist for American Casualty, now known as CNA, for 15 years, and for Bank of Pennsylvania until her retirement in 1992.

Mary was a member of St. John Baptist de la Salle Roman Catholic Church.

Left to treasure Mary's memory are her step-children: Michael A. Schrader of Rangeley, ME; Kenneth Marks of Bern Township; and Teresa L. Schrader of Reading, and eleven step-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her step-daughters, Sandra L. Vaux and Judith A. Schrader, and her brother, Edward G. Spuhler.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, July 7, 2023, at 10:00 a.m. at Gethsemane Mausoleum's Chapel of Resurrection with committal to follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Edward J.
