Mary L. Ciraulo, R.N.

Mary Louise (Purpuri) Ciraulo, R.N., 71, of Fleetwood, died January 7, 2007 at 4:34 pm in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, where she had been a patient since November 13, 2006.

Born in Muncy, Lycoming County on July 14, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Lowery) Purpuri.

She was a 1953 graduate of Muncy High School, Lycoming County and a 1956 graduate of Geisinger Medical Center School of Nursing, Danville.

Mary had an extensive career as a registered nurse, last working with Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

She was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park and Church of the Resurrection, Muncy.

Mary is survived by a daughter, Sharon L. (Ciraulo) wife of Joseph Majesky with whom she last resided and two sons, Stephen J. Ciraulo of Raleigh, N.C. and David L. Ciraulo of Falmouth, Maine.

She is also survived by Leonard J. Ciraulo of Muncy.

Other survivors include six grandchildren including Joseph C. Majesky and Kathryn E. Majesky, with whom she last resided.

She was predeceased by a sister, Josephine Ann (Purpuri) Webster and two brothers, Joseph and John Purpuri.

Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday at 10:00 am in Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park. No public viewing. Inurnment will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Kidney Foundation, 111 S. Independence Mall, E. Suite 411, Philadelphia, PA 19106-2521.
