Mary R. Shoemaker

Mary R. (Hoffman) Shoemaker, 92, Muhlenberg Township, died of natural causes May 17th at 4:45 pm in ManorCare Health Services, West Reading, where she had been since December 12th.

She was the wife of Stuart H. Shoemaker.

Born in Exeter Township, she was a daughter of the late H. Edward and Sarah E. (Hartline) Hoffman.

She was employed as a machine operator at Globe Knitting Mills, Shoemakersville, before retiring in 1976.

Shoemaker is also survived by a daughter, Nancy (Fisher) wife of Charles Logue of Reno, Nev., and a son, Douglass A. Shoemaker of Centre Township.

There are also six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and a great great grandson.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Berks County Memorial Gardens, Maidencreek Township. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of the arrangements.
