Mary R. Auman, 92, Reading, died March 21, 2012, in Mifflin Center. Her husband, Elmer F. Auman, died on July 26, 2008. They were married for 63 years prior to his death. Born in Limekiln, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hartline) Cleaver. She was a 1936 graduate of Birdsboro High School. Mary did clerical work for Berkshire Knitting Mills. She later worked for the U.S. Army at Fort Dix, NJ; Flagg Brothers; Diamond Brothers and Letisse Handbags, Reading, in the same capacity. She is survived by two sons, David L., husband of Maria Auman, Reading and James R., husband of Judith I. Auman, Oviedo, FL, five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mary was predeceased by one brother, William Cleaver, Birdsboro. Services will be Sunday, April 1, 2012 at 12 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading.
