Mary R. Pierantozzi

Mary R. Pierantozzi, 82, formerly of Cacoosing Dr. Sinking Spring, passed away on March 23, 2025, at The Highlands at Wyomissing.

She was the loving wife of Michael A. Pierantozzi. They married on June 15, 1968.

Born in Ardmore, she was the daughter of the late Conal J. and Nora M. (Donahue) Byrne. Mary graduated from Archbishop Prendergast in 1960. After high school, she enrolled at Villanova University and for a brief time in the Sisters of Notre Dame Convent. Mary realized that this vocation was not her calling and returned to Villanova and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1968. Mary obtained her CPA designation at age 49 and worked for William G. Koch & Associates before her retirement in 2008.

Mary was a member of St. Ignatius Roman Catholic Church. She loved spending time with her family at their Sea Isle City home. She enjoyed travel, sewing, (especially making stuffed sharks for her grandchildren), and her book club. Mary also spent numerous years volunteering for Berks Encore.

Mary is survived by her husband Michael Pierantozzi; five children: Christine Ramsey (David), Michael J Pierantozzi (Audrey Bellezza), Mary Ellen Fellenz (Fred Santiago), Michele Cassel (John), and Denise Mapes (Robert); grandchildren: Michael Roman, Caroline Ramsey, Courtney Fellenz, Jon Ramsey, Molly Fellenz, Charlie Mapes, Morgan Cassel, Andy Mapes, Barrett Pierantozzi, Brenden Cassel, and Declan Pierantozzi; and six siblings: William Byrne(Faye), Patricia Devine (Patrick), John Byrne (Rosemary), Margaret Haynie (Kenneth), Joanne Lister (John), and Kathy Sullivan (Jack).

She was predeceased by her brother, Conal Byrne.
