Mary P. Campbell

Mary P. "Pat" Campbell, 89, formerly of Whitfield, died July 12 at 5:28 a.m. in Berkshire Center, Exeter Township.

Her husband, Charles G. Campbell, died Sept.5, 1986.

Born in Boston, she was a daughter of the late Patrick and Elizabeth (O'Neill) Russell.

Campbell was employed for 20 years as a registered nurse by the Reading Hospital, retiring in 1977.

She was a 1935 graduate of St. Michael's Hospital School of Nursing, Trenton, N.J.

Campbell was an Army veteran of World War II.

She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.

Surviving are three daughters: Mary P. (Campbell) Shaub, Exeter Township; Diane E. (Campbell) Bachman, Schuylkill Haven; and Catherine M. (Campbell) Stambaugh, Strausstown.

Other survivors include six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Catharine of Siena Chapel, Mount Penn. Burial will be in Arlington (Va.) Cemetery Columbarium on Aug. 30 at 9 a.m. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
