Mary J. Mensch

Mary J. Mensch, 88, of West Lawn, died May 19, 2011 in Phoebe Berks.

Her husband, James N. Mensch, died September 11, 2004.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Robert M. and Helen M. (Rist) Gambler.

Mary is survived by her four children: James R., husband of Cheryl A. Mensch, Sinking Spring; Thomas M., husband of Frieda L. Mensch, St. Lawrence; Michael G., husband of Margaret F. Mensch, Wernersville and Patricia A., wife of Michael F. Schrum, Wernersville. There are 13 grandchildren: Gregory, Holly, Julie, Matthew, Jamie, Kirstin, Zachary, Tommy, Christopher, Kaitlyn, Lisha, Debbie, Michael and 12 great-grandchildren: Allison, Emily, Jack, Preston, Valerie, Colin, Madelyn, Mia, Ava, Stephanie, Zachary and Leo surviving her.

She was predeceased by her granddaughter, Kelly A. Mensch and a brother, Richard D. Gambler.

Services will be Thursday at 10 a.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. A viewing will be Wednesday 6 to 8 p.m. and Thursday 9 to 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
