Mary M. Hoppes

Mary M. (Merkel) Hoppes, 74, of Centre Township, passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021, at St. Joseph Hospital.

She was the loving wife of LeRoy M. Hoppes.

Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mildred (Strause) Merkel.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by four children: Darwin Hoppes, Emmaus, Arlan, husband of Sheila, Topton, Randy, husband of Shauna Hoppes, Hamburg and Cheri, wife of Tom Keim, Shoemakersville; three siblings: David, husband of Eleanor Merkel, Thomas, husband of Linda Merkel and Rebecca Rakowiecki, wife of Rodney Freeman. Seven grandchildren: Austin Keim, Jordan Keim, Dakota, Hoppes, Natalie Hoppes, Allison Hoppes, Abby Hoppes and Emma Hoppes, also survive her.

A viewing will be Friday, May 28, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. with services to follow at 11 a.m. at Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South 4th St., Hamburg, PA 19526. Burial will be private. Condolences may be expressed at www.burkeydriscoll.com.
