Mary Anna Luppino

Mary Anna (Brady) Luppino, 91, of Muhlenberg Township, died January 20, 2012 in the St. Joseph Medical Center, Bern Township.

She was married 50 years to Joseph John Luppino, who died November 26, 1993.

Born in Pottsville, PA on August 14, 1920, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Helwig) Brady.

She was a 1938 graduate of Pottsville High School.

Mary was a member of Holy Guardian Angels Roman Catholic Church, Hyde Park.

As a teenager, she worked in a family grocery business and later as an office clerk with Phillips-Jones Clothing Manufacturer, Pottsville.

Mary also worked as a lunch aide with the Riverview Park Elementary School and as a cookie and cake decorator with Italian French Bakery, Reading.

She was a member of the Holy Guardian Angels, Alsace Lutheran Church and the UGI Senior Clubs.

Mary loved telling jokes; going on bus trips; pool aerobics in her younger days and playing crazy 8s.

She is survived by three children: John V. Luppino of Strasburg; Judith J., wife of William H. Stump of Alsace Township and Joseph J. Luppino, II of Muhlenberg Township.

Other survivors include three siblings: Alda Howells of Pottsville; Janet Jones of Atwater, CA and Elizabeth Jones of Pottsville.

There are also three step grandchildren: Michael, husband of Dawn Stump; Marcy Owens and Melanee Stump and five step great grandchildren: Jessica, Nicole, Mya, Cassy and Crissa.

Mary is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two siblings: Robert Brady and Helen Mahlke.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday January 24th at 10:00am in Holy Guardian Angels R.C. Church, Hyde Park. A visitation will be held from 9:00 am until time of Mass in the Church. Burial will be private in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.

Mass cards or contributions may be made to the charity of one's choice in memory of Mary.
