Mary M. Lindermuth, 97 of Tilden Township died December 8, 2016 in her residence. Her husband, Howard Lindermuth, Jr. predeceased her on November 30, 1972. Mary was born in Perry Township and was the daughter of the late Raymond and Annie (Rubright) Sousley. She was a 1937 graduate of Hamburg High School and a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hamburg . Mary worked 35 years as a machine operator for Cinderella Knitting Mills, Leesport, formerly Diener's, retiring in 1980. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary to Order of Independent Americans and enjoyed traveling, camping and photography. Mary was an avid bowler and gardener for many years. She was introduced to auto racing by her loving companion of 40 years, Richard Hatt and enjoyed it immensely. Richard, of Tilden Township is Mary's lone survivor. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc., 40 S. 4th St., Hamburg. A viewing will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery, Hamburg. Online condolences may be expressed at www.burkeydriscoll.com.
