Mary L. Clausius

Mary Louise (Schmauch) Clausius, 87 of Wyomissing, died December 31, 2008 at 10:30 pm in Columbia Cottages, Spring Township.

She was the widow of James Vincent Clausius, who died June 19, 2007.

Born November 3, 1921 in Tamaqua, PA., she was a daughter of the late Edward and Freda (Kellner) Schmauch.

She was a graduate of Tamaqua High School and Palmerton Hospital School of Nursing.

Mary was a member of Atonement Lutheran Church, Wyomissing.

She was employed 25 years as a registered nurse with the Reading Hospital and the Wyomissing Lodge.

Mary is survived by a son, James E. Clausius of Wyomissing and three daughters: Judith A. Cardinal of Allentown, Cynthia Stamson of Reading and Deborah S. Kinkaid of Reading.

Others survivors include a sister, Olive Foster of Tamaqua and two brothers: Robert Schmauch of Tamaqua and George Schmauch of Macungie.

There are also four grandchildren surviving.

Services will be Saturday at 1:00 pm in Atonement Lutheran Church, 5 Wyomissing Blvd, Wyomissing. A viewing will be held in the church one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Spring Township.
