Mary Ann Killian

Mary Ann Killian, 79 of Reading died September 30, 2008 in Reading hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of Robert Byron Killian, Sr., whom she married December 28, 1946.

Born April 16, 1929 in Reading she was a daughter of the late Leroy Wellington Correll, Sr. and Emma Katherine (Moyer) Correll.

Mary Ann was employed as an inspector by Western Electric/Lucent, Muhlenberg Township for 25 years.

She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.

Also surviving are four children: Linda A. (Killian) Martin of Birdsboro, Carol L. (Killian), wife of Allen V. Hanson of Blandon, Robert B., Jr., husband of MaryAnn A. (Melnick) Killian of Reading and James E. Killian of Los Angeles, CA.

Other survivors include four siblings, Mae, widow of Charles Lutz of Orlando, FL; Richard, husband of Alvera (Digiustili) Correll of Wyomissing; Barbara, wife of Kenneth Tipsword of Reading and Ronald, husband of Barbara (Spishock) Correll of Reading.

In addition there are six grandchildren, Terrie Lynn, wife of Patrick J. Flemming of Blandon; Michael W. Christman of Reading; Joseph Martin, III. of Phoenixville; Samantha, wife of Edward Billman of Llewellyn, Schuylkill County; Corinne Killian of Reading and Joyce Kelsie Knabb of Birdsboro.

There are also three great-grandchildren, Justin M. McKale of Blandon, Christopher M. Warren of Reading and Morgan Billman of Llewellyn, Schuylkill County.

Mary Ann was predeceased by two brothers, Leroy Correll, Jr. and Robert Correll.

Services will be Saturday at 11:30 a.m. in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., 3300 Kutztown Road, Laureldale. A viewing will be held one hour prior to services. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Exeter Township.
