Mary Kauffman

Mary (Carrozza) Kauffman, 95, of Crestwood, Exeter Township, died October 17, 2007 in Berks Heim, Bern Township, where she had been a patient for one month.

She was the widow of C. Lloyd Kauffman, who died January 22, 1977.

Born August 12, 1912 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Pasquale and Theresa (Lia) Carrozza.

She was a member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Exeter Township.

Mary was employed a number of years as a looper with Infant Socks, Reading.

She is survived by a daughter, Nina T. (Gagliano) Novak of Exeter Township.

Other survivors include two brothers, Patrick Carrozza of West Reading and Jacob Carrozza of Reading and two brother-in-laws, John Kauffman of Mohnton and Eugene Hubler of Laureldale.

She was predeceased by five siblings, Louis Carrozza, Frank Carrozza, Daniel Carrozza, Rose Hubler and Carmella Kruszewski.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10:00 am in St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Exeter Township. A viewing will be held in the Church one hour prior to Mass. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township.
