Mary Jane Speakman

Mary Jane (Lindenmuth) Speakman, 77, died January 1, 2015 in her Muhlenberg Township residence, surrounded by her loving family.

She was the loving wife of William Robert Speakman, whom she married June 29, 1964.

Born November 11, 1937 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill County, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Francis and Helen (Laudeman) Lindenmuth.

Mary Jane was a graduate of Shenandoah High School.

She was employed as an inspector with AT&T/Lucent Technologies for over 30 years.

Mary Jane was a very active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Muhlenberg Township.

A people person, she loved entertaining in her yard.

Mary Jane loved to travel, having been especially fond of Jamaica, where she traveled annually.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, is her brother, Franklin Laudeman of Rehoboth Beach DE and her sister, Karen Schearer of Reading.

Other survivors include her five nephews and one niece.

Mary Jane was predeceased by her sister, Jean Wysocki.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday January 12, 2015 at 7 p.m. in Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 4201 Stoudt's Ferry Bridge Road, Muhlenberg Township. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service in church. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.
