Mary J. (Rubright) Shollenberger, 82, formerly of Shoemakersville died January 2 in Hope Hospice, Cape Coral, Florida. She was the widow of Larry F. Shollenberger who died June 14, 2001. Mary was born in Hamburg and was the daughter of the late Albert and Mabel (Himelberger) Rubright. Mary was a former member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses formerly of Tilden Township. She was a 1947 graduate of Hamburg High School. Mary worked for many years at the Hamburg Center in the custodial and food service departments from where she retired. She is survived by two daughters, Donna (Merkel) wife of Stephen Edlin of Alva, Florida, Anne (Merkel) wife of Richard Gordon, Cape Coral, Florida, three grandchildren, Alison (Edlin) Super, Landon Edlin, and Thomas Wagner, four great granddaughters, Ashlynn, Addison, Morgan and McKenzie. She is also survived by a one sister Dorothy M. Schappell of Hamburg. Mary was predeceased by a sister Helen L. Stitzel on December 7, 2008. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 7 at 11:00 AM from the Burkey & Driscoll Funeral Home, Inc. Hamburg. A viewing will be held on Saturday from 10:00 to 11:00 AM.
