Mary E. Hartline, 93, of Mertztown, passed away from Alzheimer's Disease April 6, 2013 in the Topton Lutheran Home.
She was the widow of Kermit G. Hartline Sr..
Born in Oley, she was a daughter of the late Lott and Edna (Moyer) Seidel.
Mary worked as a housekeeper for Dr. Paul Stoltz for many years and retired from the Saucony Shoe Factory after over 20 years of service.
She was a member of Salem U.C.C., Spangsville.
Mary was a very hard working woman, she was clean, neat and tidy. As a young woman she ran track and field and had always been a dare devil, still riding roller coasters at age 72. She enjoyed shopping, especially buying for others and getting a bargain. Her family meant the world to her and she loved going on sleigh rides with the children. She will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her children: Mary L, wife of Lincoln Bingaman, Mertztown and Deborah L. wife of Darryl Bortz, Reading. Also surviving is her daughter-in-law, Katie Hartline, Kempton. Seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive her.
Mary was predeceased by her two sons: David A. Hartline and Kermit E. Hartline and her siblings: Mahlon Seidel, Earl Seidel, Marie Focht and Mae Trievel.
Private graveside services will be held in Oley Union Cemetery, Spangsville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 237 Court St., Reading, PA 19601.
