Mary C. Harakal

Mary Concetta "Tyg" (Pisano) Harakal, 84, of Reading, died Friday, December 15, 2006 at 12:09 am in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center. She was taken there from ManorCare Health Services, West Reading, where she had been a patient since April 2004.

She was the beloved wife of Robert Lee Harakal, whom she married May 30, 1981.

Born December 4, 1922 in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Catherine M. (Sinopoli) Pisano.

She was a member of St. Mark's United Church of Christ, Reading.

Mary was employed 17 years as a machine operator with Molly Fasteners, Muhlenberg Township before retiring in 1987.

She was a 15 year member of the T.P.A.

Mary is also survived by a sister, Lucy (Pisano) widow of Peter Distasio of Reading and four nieces; Rose Marie Bredbenner, Catherine Bolig, Dolores Eck and Linda Braun.

There are also several great nieces and nephews.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:00 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave., West Reading with the Rev. Charles S. Nease, Jr., officiating. Viewings will be Monday evening 6:30 - 8:00 pm and Tuesday morning 9:30 am until the time of service in the funeral home.
