Mary Jo Georgeadis

Mary Jo Georgeadis, 55, of Lower Heidelberg Twp., died June 18, 2009 in Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, Philadelphia.

She was the wife of Socrates J. Georgeadis, Esq.

Born in Warren, PA, she was the daughter of Samuel F. Bonavita, Warren and the late Rose C. (Conestoba) Bonavita.

She was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in 1976.

Mary Jo was a first grade teacher at Riverside Elementary School for ten years, retiring in 2008. Previously, she was the alumni coordinator for Penn State Berks and the event coordinator for the Berks County Chamber of Commerce.

She was a member of SS Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Church, Reading.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, James S. Georgeadis, Dallas, TX and Anne Katherine Georgeadis, Philadelphia. Three brothers, John F. Bonavita, Sheffield, Thomas J. Bonavita, Warren and James F. Bonavita, Colorado Spring, CO also survive her.

A visitation will be held Sunday from 5 to 9 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading. Services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Charles Evans Cemetery.
