Mary F. Galczynski

Mary F. Galczynski, 88, of Muhlenberg Township residence, passed away on Saturday, November 5th, 2022 at St. Joseph Medical Center. She was the wife of the late Chester "Chet" Galczynski, with whom she shared almost 60 years of marriage.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosa (Eder) Lindinger. Mary graduated from Central Catholic High School, Class of 1952, and went on to a long career as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone. She retired in 1993 after 42 years of employment.

Mary loved to dance, especially waltzes and polkas, and did so with dear friends as a member of the Reading Leiderkranz, the Evergreen Country Club, and the Coplay German Heritage Club of Allentown. She enjoyed traveling to Germany and celebrating Octoberfest. She also loved playing bingo and spending time with family.

She will be lovingly remembered by her son, Michael J. Galczynski, husband of Stephanie, of Muhlenberg Township; grandson, Marc Galczynski, husband of Angie, of Myrtle Beach, SC; granddaughter, Mary Galczynski of Muhlenberg Township; great grandson, Tristan Galczynski; great step-grandson, Anthony Pasquale, and many nieces and nephews.

A viewing will be held on Monday, November 14th, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Kuhn Funeral Home & Crematory, Inc. 5153 Kutztown Road Temple, PA 19560. Private entombment will take place at Gethsemane Cemetery Mausoleum in Reading.
