Mary E. Ford

Mary Esther Ford, 93, passed away on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, at Phoebe Berks, Wernersville, PA.

She was the widow of Paul J. Ford. They celebrated 35 years of marriage before his death in 1990.

Born in Dunmore, PA, she was the daughter of the late John J. and Esther C. (Harney) Gribbin. Mary was a graduate of Dunmore (PA) High School.

Mary was a devoted wife and a loving mother. She especially enjoyed spending time with her five grandchildren. She also had 14 great grandchildren. Mary is survived by her sons, John D., husband of Donna E. Ford, Mohnton, PA; and Robert M., husband of Patricia C. Ford, Lititz, PA; five grandchildren, Michelle A. Raccuglia, wife of Salvatore F. Raccuglia, Daniel J. Ford, husband of Deana R. Ford, Kevin M. Ford, husband of David A. Barnhart, Robert J. Ford, husband of Nicole B. Ford, and Jessica R. McInerney, wife of Robert M. McInerney.

In addition to her husband, Mary was predeceased by her son, Paul J. Ford, Jr., her sister, Regina Bowen, and twin brothers, John M. Gribbin and Frank J. Gribbin.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated privately with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Laureldale, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made for the Alzheimer's Association at alz.org. The family would like to thank all of the employees of Phoebe Berks for their excellent care over the years.
