Mary Ellen Brown

Mary Ellen Brown, 82, of Shillington, passed away on August 20, 2015, in her daughter's residence.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Willard E. and Mary (Hilgert) Oplinger.

Mary Ellen was a 1950 graduate of Wyomissing High School.

She was a claims processor for Teamsters Health & Welfare Fund Local 429 retiring in 1990.

Mary Ellen is survived by her three children, Ellen L. Brown, Sinking Spring; Brenda L., wife of Ed Diaz, Sinking Spring; and David W., husband of Jacque Brown, West Lawn . She is also survived by her siblings, Gerald G. Oplinger, Willard L. Oplinger, Wilma J. (Oplinger) Spies; eight grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 11 am in Trinity Lutheran Church,108 S Robeson St, Robesonia, PA 19551. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Reading Musical Foundation, P.O. Box 14835, Reading, PA 19612, reflective of her love for the movie "Music of the Heart". Edward J.
