Mary Elizabeth Schauer, a.k.a. Mary E. Kuzio, 63, of Wyomissing, died May 9, 2008 in University of Pennsylvania Hospital.

Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Theckla (Hentz) Schauer.

She was a graduate of Nativity B.V.M. High School, Pottsville in 1962 and of the Sacred Heart Hospital School of Nursing, Allentown in 1965.

Mary enjoyed a long career in nursing including time at Community General, Reading and St. Joseph's Hospitals. She was later a private duty nurse and most recently worked for the Berks Visiting Nurse Association.

She was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. Mary loved her church, children, music and nursing.

Mary is survived by her three sons, Todd A., husband of Aimee R. Flubacher, Chadds Ford; Mark W., husband of Tamara S. Flubacher, Temecula, CA and Bradley J., husband of Jennifer J. Flubacher, St. College. There are five grandchildren, Ethan J., Alexander W., Avery R., Jacob M. and Kendall N. Three sisters, Barbara Urenovich, Drums, Jane Myers, Phoenixville and Linda Woll, Hatfield also survive her. She was predeceased by one sister, Carol Sweeney.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Ignatius Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Friends may call Saturday from 9 to 10 a.m. in the church. A private family burial will be in St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 2 International Plaza, Suite 245, Philadelphia, PA 19113. Edward J.
