Mary H. Correnti

Mary Helen (Hagan) Correnti, 86, of Robesonia, died April 14, 2010 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

She was the wife of Samuel Joseph Correnti, Sr., who died July 27, 1997.

Born in her Reading residence, on January 23, 1924, she was a daughter of the late Edward L. and Mabel W. (Jacobs) Hagan.

She was a 1942 graduate of Reading High School.

Mary was a member of St. Margarets Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

She was employed a number of years as a secretary with Albright College.

Mary was later employed as a secretary and administrative assistant first with American Bank and Trust and later with Meridian Bank, before retiring in 1997.

She is survived by three children: Samuel J., Jr., husband of Judianne (Salabsky) Correnti of Frankford, Missouri; Christopher F., husband of Robin (Picariello) Correnti of Atlanta, Georgia and Louise A. (Correnti), wife of Gerard S. Russo of Spring Township.

Other survivors include two siblings: Arlene M. (Hagan), widow of Paul Hoster of Cumru Township and Anna (Hagan), wife of Dr. Robert DePaul of Aurora, Ill.

There are also eight grandchildren: Nicholas Correnti, Matthew Correnti, Laura Correnti, Geoffrey Correnti, Samara Correnti, Sabella Correnti, Gabriella Russo and Alexander Russo.

She was predeceased by three siblings: Edith Harman, Earl Hagan and Elsie Brown.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10:00 am in the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. Viewings will be held Friday 6:30 - 8:00 and Saturday 9:00 - 9:30 am in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
