Mary A. Capozello

Mary Amelia Capozello, 90, died August 18, 2011 in her Wyomissing Residence.

Born November 20, 1920 in Reading, PA, she was a daughter of the late John Joseph Capozello Sr., and Anna Rose (Maimone) Capozello.

She was a 1938 graduate of Reading High School and a graduate of the Helen Moore Hoffman Secretarial School.

Mary was employed as a secretary to the Major at the Reading Airport during World War II.

She was also employed as a secretary at both Guinter's Knitting Mills, West Reading and The Kins Store, Reading.

Mary was last employed in the family business as the treasurer of Capozello Paper Company, Reading, before retiring in 1980.

She was a member of Sacred Heart R.C. Church, West Reading where she was a past secretary of the Sacred Heart Society.

Mary is survived by two siblings with whom she resided; Daniel R. Capozello and Helen M. Capozello.

Other survivors include two God Children: Elizabeth Mengel and Donna Bird.

She was predeceased by a brother, John Joseph Capozello, Jr. in 2000.

Services will be private. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Muhlenberg Township. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, P.O. Box 69, Mohnton, PA 19540.
