Mary Branford

Mary (Spradley) Branford, 74, died January 31, 2015, in her Reading residence.

She was the widow of John Edward Branford, Jr.

Born in Cheneyville, LA, she was the daughter of the late Phillip, Sr., and Bulah (Watson) Spradley.

She was employed as a seamstress for Berkshire Knitting Mills and Gloray Knitting Mills.

Mary was a member of New First Baptist Church, Birdsboro and an ardent worker of the pastor's aide committee and fundraiser committee.

She is survived by her son, Joey Lee Branford, Reading; two brothers, Phillip, III., husband of Mary Spradley and Robert Spradley of Reading; her sister, Terry Holt, Reading; three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister, Joann Copeland, her son Joseph Branford and her other son, Johnny M. Branford.

Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading, PA 19611. Friends may call Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m. in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhome.com.
