Mary Anne Webber

Mary Anne Webber, 85, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2017, in Virginia Beach, VA, where she resided.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Gruber) Wixon.

She was the wife of the late Larry Spencer Webber.

She was a 1949 graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School and received her Bachelor's degree in

Bacteriology from the University of Alabama in 1953, Roll Tide.

Mary Anne was employed by the Reading Hospital as a laboratory specialist.

She was a volunteer for St. Ignatius in the kitchen for 30 years, as well as a volunteer at Sacred Heart Villa for five years.

Mary Anne is survived by her children: Ann Marie, wife of Michael G. Brown, and Mary Kay Webber; both of Virginia Beach, VA, and one grandson, Spencer Dalton Brown. She is also survived by one brother, Jerry H. Wixon, Flying Hills, and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a brother, Michael J. Wixon; and a sister, Margaret M. Wixon.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, February 17, 2017, at 12 p.m. in St. Ignatius Loyola Church, 2810 St. Albans Drive, Reading, PA 19608. Burial will follow in Mohnsville Cemetery. A visitation will held on Friday from 11 a.m.- 12 p.m. in the church. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, is in charge of arrangements.
