Mary Ann Smith

Mary Ann Smith, 80, of Sinking Spring passed away on Wednesday morning, February 12, 2025, at St. Joseph's Hospital where she was admitted last week.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late George and Cecelia Siekierka. Mary Ann was a 1962 graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was employed as a department manager at Boscov's West and Berkshire Mall until 2003, then as an events coordinator at Country Meadows until 2009.

She loved spending time with her family, playing games and making crafts with her granddaughter, cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, and keeping in touch with friends on social media.

Mary Ann is survived by her husband Gary, daughter Cherie of Mohnton, son Randall of Wyomissing, and granddaughter Isabelle. She was predeceased by her brother Barry Siekierka.

She will be missed by all and always remembered as a loving wife, amazing mother, wonderful grandmother, and glorious ray of sunlight to all who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 19th at 10:30 a.m. in Edward J. Kuuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery in Laureldale.
