Mary E. Adams

Mary E. Adams, 83, of Wingert Road, Wyomissing Hills, died Jan. 31 at 6:30 a.m. in Reading Hospital, where she had been a patient for one day.

Her husband, Harvey F. Adams, died Aug. 7, 1994.

Born in Maidencreek Township, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Miller) Beck.

Adams had been employed for 20 years in housekeeping by the Inn at Reading, Wyomissing, retiring in 1982.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Adams, Reading; and four sons: Robert Adams and Paul Beck, both of Spring Township; Harvey Adams, at home; and Allen Adams, Reading.

Other survivors include two brothers, Robert Beck, Kenhorst, and George Beck, Reading; and three sisters: Shirley (Beck) Gensemer, Stony Creek Mills; Betty (Beck) Eckert, Exeter Township; and Mae (Beck) McCloughan, Reading.

There are also 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a daughter, M. Linda (Adams) DeAngelo.

Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
