Mary Louise Acken

Mary Louise "Mary" Acken died on April 16, 2024 at Providence Place, Collegeville. She was the daughter of the late Mary Ann O'Hara and Louis Hartneck. She was a graduate of John W. Hallahan High School in Philadelphia PA.

She worked as a secretary to the late Charles Cheston, at Connecticut General Insurance Co, General Electric, all in Philadelphia, and Charles Donovan in Pottstown.

She was the wife of the late Robert P. Acken who died in 1991.

She was the mother of Dr. Bruce J. Acken, Brian E. Acken (Lisa), Mary Ann Cornwall (David), Sandra Ann Mueller, Dr. Kevin P. Acken (Tong), and the late Patricia Ann Acken.

She was the grandmother of Robert, Emily, Madeline, Robert, Patricia, Adam, Tyler, Zachary, Matthew, Audrey, Sophia, Robyn, Ashley and Brian Jr.

She was the great-grandmother of Landon, Hayden, Juliet, Olivia, Joseph, Kayden, Miles and Brian III.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph's Church in Spring City. Visitation will be at the church for one hour prior to the Mass. Burial will be in St. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Maple Township.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that contributions be sent to the Neurological Department of Rainbow Babies & Children's Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio in memory of Patricia Ann Acken.
