Mary A. Fisher

Mary A. Lamey Fisher, 89, passed away peacefully at the Manor on Market Square on Sunday, June 15, 2025.

Born in Tylersville, Mary was the daughter of the late LaRue and Pearl (Ruhl) Grieb. She dedicated much of her life to hard work and caring for others. Mary worked for 32 years as a sewing machine operator at Rachman's Manufacturing and Camp Hosiery. Afterward, she was employed for seven years as a technician at Alcon Ltd. in Sinking Spring, retiring in 2001.

Mary was a devoted member of Nativity Lutheran Church. She found great joy in nature, especially gardening, walking, and hiking. In retirement, she embraced her generous spirit through volunteer work with her church.

Mary will be remembered for her quiet strength, her warmth, and her lifelong devotion to her family.

Mary will be lovingly remembered by her son, Gregory Lamey, Sr, and his wife, Mary-Catherine; daughter-in-law, Estella Lamey; grandchildren: Troy, Gregory Jr., and Breanne; great grandchildren: Nikole, Ryan, Liam, Rileigh, Maverick, andGrace; stepson, Brad Fisher; and step grandson, Cory Prutzman. She is also survived by her brothers, George and LaRue Grieb, and sisters, Laura Rider and Eleanor Welshans.

She was preceded in death by first husband, William Lamey, second husband, Dale W. Fisher, son, Larry A. Lamey, and stepdaughter, Kathleen Whittman.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 20, 2025 at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading, PA 19611. The family will receive friends and relatives from 12:00 pm until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Sinking Spring.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mary's memory to the American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.
