Marvin S. Weidner

Marvin S. Weidner, 84, formerly of Emerson Avenue, Laureldale, died January 24th in Green Valley Terrace Nursing Home, Ocean View, Delaware.

He was the husband of Velma M. (Tobias) Weidner of Ocean View, Delaware.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Carroll and Catherine (Seidel) Weidner.

He was a graduate of Pennsylvania State University.

Weidner was an Army Veteran of WWII.

He worked for 31 years as a sales representative for metropolitan Edison, Reading until his retirement February 1, 1985.

Weidner is also survived by a daughter, Kathleen G. (Gerhart) wife of Jay R. Schmitt Jr., of Ocean View, Delaware.

There are also two grandchildren, Jay R. Schmitt III of Gettysburg, Pa and Stacy K. Schmitt of Ocean View, Delaware.

Services will be Friday at 11:00 am in Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale. Viewing 10am until time of service. Burial will be in Schwarzwald Cemetery, Exeter Township. Walter R. Christ Funeral Home, Inc., Laureldale is in charge of arrangements.
