Martin A. Boyer

Martin A. Boyer Sr., 90, formerly of Reading, died July 3 at 8:25 a.m. in his Wyomissing residence.

He was the husband of Dorothy C. (Bohn) Boyer.

Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Charles P. and Florence S. (Bredbenner) Boyer.

Boyer founded Bowl-O-Rama Inc., Reiffton, in 1957 and has since served as its co-owner.

He was a member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading.

Boyer was a charter member of the Reading Bowling Association and was inducted into the Berks Bowling Hall of Fame in 1977.

He also is survived by a daughter, Patricia A. (Boyer) Talarico, Wyomissing; and two sons, William C., Bernville, and Martin A. Jr., Reading.

Other survivors include a brother, Charles A., Crestwood.

There also are nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret's Church. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Laureldale. Friends may call from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to St. Margaret's Church 925 Center Ave. Reading, Pa 19601.
