Martha A. (Yonkovitch) Orlando, 78, formerly of Sinking Spring, passed away October 31, 2024, in her Wyomissing residence. Her husband, Roy A. Orlando, died on April 26, 2016.
Born in Pottstown, PA on October 23, 1946, she was a daughter of the late Paul J. and Helen (Lichman) Yonkovitch. She was a graduate of Saint Pius X Catholic High School, Pottstown, PA, Montgomery County, Community College, Blue Bell, PA, Alvernia University, Reading, PA, and completed the Paralegal Program at Pennsylvania State University, Berks Campus. Martha worked as an Executive Secretary at The Firestone Tire and Rubber Company in Pottstown, PA for 13 years and Dana Corporation, Parish Division, in Reading, PA for 9 years.
Faith and family were most important to her, she was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Reading, PA. Martha is survived by two daughters: Dr. Christa M. Souris, wife of Dr. Jeffrey S. Souris, Chicago, IL, and Andrea J. Colburn, wife of Ben Colburn, Weaverville, NC, four grandchildren: Nikolaos, Gabriella, Ryland, and Reagan, and one sister: Mary Raybold, Englewood, FL. She was predeceased by two sisters: Barbara Vasko and Rosemarie Dinnocenti, and three brothers: Paul E. Yonkovitch, Gerald Yonkovitch, and twin brother, Mark Yonkovitch.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Monday, November 11, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, 2810 St Albans Dr. Reading, PA 19608. Entombment will follow in the Chapel of St. George at Gethsemane Cemetery and Mausoleum. Friends may call Monday, November 11, 2024, from 11:00am to 12:00 p.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the St. Ignatius Memorial Fund at the above address. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
