Martha E. Brautigan

Martha E. Kuhn Brautigan, 93, Long Pond, Monroe County, died July 12 at 11:55 p.m. in Country Meadows of Wyomissing, where she had resided since January.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Alfred Kuhn, in 1942, and by her second husband, Paul R. Brautigan, in September 1982.

Born in West Pittston, Luzerne County, she was a daughter of the late John and Louise (Barnhart) Coleman.

Brautigan was employed by RCA and Eastern Aircraft Co., both in New Jersey, during World War II.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Brautigan was a graduate of West Pittston High School.

Surviving are two sons, Paul R., Delray Beach, Fla., and Kim R., Bernville.

Other survivors include a brother, John Coleman, West Pittston.

There are also four grandchildren and a great-grandson.

Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., West Reading. Friends may call from 10:30 - 11:00 Saturday. Contributions may be made to the Humane Society 1801 North 11th Street Reading, Pa 19604. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. in the West Pittston Cemetery.
