Marta D. Williams

Marta D. "Marty" Williams, 57, of Leesport, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 under the care of Hershey Medical Center. She was the beloved wife of Frederick L. Williams with whom she shared 23 years of marriage.

Born in Manhattan, N.Y., Marty was the daughter of Marta Mercado of Reading and the late Raul Mercado, Sr.

Marty was employed by Boscov's as the Accounts Payable Manager ending in 1996 when she most importantly transitioned into staying home and devoting her life and love to her husband and three sons.

She is survived, in addition to her husband and mother, by her four sons: Forrest Chase Williams of Leesport, Pa., Hunter Logan Williams of Leesport, Pa., Derek Brandon Garcia, and Joe Gimble, of Long Pond, Pa.; and four siblings, Jose Mercado of North Wales, Pa., Raul Mercado, Jr. of Reading, Pa., Michael Mercado of Philadelphia and George Mercado of Sao Paulo, Brazil.

The viewing will be held on both Friday evening, July 21, 2017 from 4 until 9 PM at Kuhn Funeral Home (Temple Location), 5153 Kutztown Rd., Temple, PA 19560 and again on Saturday morning at York Springs United Methodist Church from 10 AM until the time of the service. The Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 12 noon at York Springs United Methodist Church, 840 Trolley Rd, York Springs, PA 17372.
